EPIC OpTime is an operating room management system. As with all EPIC products, it can be integrated with other EPIC solutions and customized to the unique needs of the facility using it.
OpTime has built-in tools for many of the processes already in place at most operating facilities, including scheduling, record-keeping for anesthesia, patient preferences, patient pre-and post-operative assessment, procedure records and PACU documents.
While it’s most efficient when used in conjunction with other EPIC products, EPIC consultants are often called on to integrate it with third-party solutions, as well. Common development requests include device integration to ClinDoc or Surgery, and EPIC integrations with Pyxsis and Mysis.
OpTime has come a long way from its earlier versions. The most important feature of the 2010 version is the ability to administer Mixed MED from the Intraop Navigator. This version is the most user-friendly yet and providers prefer it’s more convenient interface.
